This was an excellent kit with very easy to follow instructions. Be prepared to spend a lot of time on this to make it look furniture grade. Would recommend starting with cabinet grade plywood as well. I spent about 40 hours total labor making this unit and an additional side shelf. Decorative trim, etc. 2 recommendations , drill and put your handles on before putting the 1/4 panel down on the bed support frame. And make a 2-1/4” runner across the bottom of the cabinet to secure one base to the other. I also pocket hole drilled and mounted my vertical assembly bottoms into the trim once squared up. I would interpret the dimensions 2-5” wider on the verticals the next time I do this so there is room to run electrical and store pillows in the bed. Lesson learned. Excellent hardware kit and very clear instructions, just time consuming. Not for the novice wood worker
You'll need a friend to carry the box upon arrival. Or disassemble and move pieces by pieces like I did. It's a nice enough set. The only issue I have is the storage drawers are even with the bed making it impossible to open the front of you have a night stand or desser close by.
It’s what I expected it to be from the photos. It was so easy to put together, literally took like 30 minutes. Looks amazing, feels amazing, overall amazing. :) The only thing I’d point out is that it came in two different boxes and they were shipped a few days apart. I got everything though, and that’s what matters.
Definitely need 2 people to install, drawers were a bit more challenging than the bed frame to assemble. Also good to note that the drawers do not attach to the bed frame but just slide underneath. Overall happy with this order and the bed is sturdy!
We got the twin bed for our kiddo, and overall, it's great! I did deduct a star because the slabs were too exposed, so I had to place blankets under the mattress. Other than that, I love it! The drawers underneath are a nice touch, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they can be secured with a screw that comes with the bed. It's perfect since it means my toddler won't be able to easily mess with them.
I would highly recommend this product and definitely buy from this company again. The bedframe was packed very well to ensure no damage. Assembly was so much easier than I imagined. It went together perfectly and very quickly. The quality exceeded my expectations. I was extremely happy with the quality at this affordable price point.
Definitely need two people to put together, and it took my boyfriend and I a while, but it was worth it. Has a sleek appearance and it’s sturdy. There’s good storage space under and no need for a box spring. No noise during “adult time” and I haven’t had an issue with the mattress sliding either. Worth it!
If you are thinking about buying this bed. I highly recommend it. This is a quality item and I am very pleased with the look and how heavy duty this is. Easy to assemble, even by yourself. All for a reasonable price. Hard to find new furniture like this.
I live in the projects and placing this steel bed foundation on the floor with my mattress on top is not a option, besides I'm a 63 year old man and weigh in at 255lbs. I bought the 7" Askeld Full Size metal bed support to set this foundation on. I also bought the Hunlostten Full Size Box Spring cover/skirt to hide the foundation. Do yourself a favor no matter which way you go buy the Box Spring cover/skirt for the $39.99, it is well worth the money. With this in place the mattress and steel bed foundation will not move around on you, either on the metal bed support or the steel bed foundation. I put my Serta 11" Hybrid mattress on it. I have slept on it for 3 nights and no noise and everything stays in place. I set this all up myself and the only thing that had me flustered was 2 or 3 of the slats kept falling off while I was putting the cover/skirt on the foundation. As far as holes lining up the last freaking bolt hole on the top corner was not drilled in line with the other hole , off by 1/4" that corner is under the bed cover/skirt so it cannot be seen, the bolt went in but the frame is off just a tad in that corner. Overall I'm happy I bought these 3 items. The metal bed support has 9 round steel legs and I have talked in tongues 3 or 4 times after stubbing my toe since I set the bed up. Beautiful material! I love the bed! It shipped right away and arrived in 2 days. Packaging was great too. So happy with my purchase. I was hesitant to purchase because there were no reviews for it. So glad I bought it! I saw the exact same bed on Home Depot’s website for $340. This price is a steal!! Definitely recommend.
This bed is as gorgeous as it looks in the pictures. Very easy to put together. Directions are clear and concise. It took me about 5 hours to put together myself. Love it!! Very sturdy!
Absolutely beautiful and well made. Took long to assemble it by myself and had a little struggle aligning some of the holes but it worked out everything looks good and put together. The only thing is that it still has a like a chemical smell that I do not like, had this experience with a previous bed also bought from bargainbeddingusa.com that it got less strong but I don’t think it ever went away completely so I don’t know. Still waiting for my new mattress but overall I’m happy with my bed!
Okay so cosmetic damage I wasn’t too upset by. I tried reaching out because the layers of “wood” were separated on most slats & even the face front of the trundle making it IMPOSSIBLE to try to screw through without further damaging & making pieces useless. I had to go buy slats wood filler & sanding sheets. Did all by hand I want to emphasize that THESE PIECES CAME LIKE THIS & for this amount of money going & spending even more on top really sucked. I tried to contact the seller & the only option was a return which wasn’t ideal because I REALLY needed this bed so I HAD to make it work. Also for anyone wondering as a side note the expansion of the bed SUCKS to pull out ended up buying felt so it could glide better & not get stuck on the inside & the trundle does whatever it wants so I have to figure out a way for it to stay aligned & also be pulled out. I WOULDNT recommend honestly save your money or try something else I put way more money into this than I ever would have liked. Only gave the “easy to assemble” three stars BECAUSE the instructions were really easy to understand but the actual materials rendered this unbearable to execute. ______________UPDATED REVIEW___________ Customer service reached out to me regarding the defective/damaged parts & all of my concerns were addressed. They assured me my experience doesn’t meet their expectations of their product. They offered to replace the damaged parts which was very important to me by just providing pictures (fair in my eyes) of the damaged ones or a partial refund since I had already fixed issue so essentially they covered the money I spent to fix the things I had to & I’m ok with that. I’m very pleased with their customer service, after reaching out they were very diligent & quick with the rest of the process. I do want to add that my first experience the bargainbeddingusa.com option to reach cs looped me to just sending the item back for a refund I didn’t know how to reach the actual seller I think if you press the seller name an option to contact them would come up it’s much better to address any concerns with them directly they really are willing to help even if it’s just for a defective piece! I think my mistake from the beginning was trying to contact them through the bargainbeddingusa.com button instead of trying to find a way to them directly. I didn’t notice it maybe because of the “heat of the moment”.
The only downside to this, is that we received it with zero instructions. Thankfully, with a little common sense, it wasn’t hard to put together by simply looking at the photo on this listing. I have a purple mattress which is insanely heavy and takes two very strong people to lift/move, and two box springs underneath (king size), and after sleeping on it last night it seems durable. I would definitely recommend not purchasing for wood floors, or if you do, getting a giant rug or some form of non-sliding caps to go under the legs. The frame itself (under the mattress) seems to have more support then some of the thousands of dollars frames I have had before. The metal bars at the top, however, are extremely flimsy so you couldn’t hang anything more than draping curtains or things that are extremely light weight. That aspect is definitely just for show. It’s adorable for a simplistic, yet fun bed frame, and extremely fair priced.
It took us a while, maybe 4 hours, but we got it built and it's beautiful. Can't wait until the finishing touches! We definitely recommend for kids! Waiting on another mattress before installing the bottom bunk! Very satisfied with purchase.
