This bed frame is so pretty! The built in charger and storage is super convenient because we have a small room and need as much extra space as we can get. The slight cushioning on the headboard is also very nice when sitting up in bed. It’s low enough to the ground to be easy for our dog to get onto and for us to still have light coming in from our window behind the bed frame, but tall enough to still fit small items underneath for storage. The bed frame also came well packaged and with easy to follow instructions. We did have an issue where the screw holes for the headboard were not lined up correctly and we were not able to fit the screws in on one side. This took an hour of trying to get the screws in, but in the end we took the whole piece apart and we’re able to finally get it to fit with a bit of a gap. So this review is mostly getting only 4 stars for the build quality. Another important note- the gap between where the mattress sits and there bottom of the headboard is larger than we were expecting. Our 8 inch mattress still leaves about an 8 inch gap, which is enough for our pillows to fall through at night. I wish this gap was smaller. As is, we will be getting a taller mattress but will still have to worry about the gap. Besides those two issues though, this bed frame is fantastic for its price range! I do recommend it.
The bed is a little difficult to put together by yourself, I would highly recommend at least 2 people with assembly and assistance since the box is extremely heavy. Once the bed is put together it looks great however the shocks that allow the bed to lift up and down are frozen and so not work. I have reached out to bargainbeddingusa.com for assistance but they said they can return the product for a new one but there is no way I am disassembling this bed. I wish I can just get new shocks so it's easy to lift and hold the bed but I guess not...
I got this for the twin mattress in my craft room which gets occasionally used as a nap bed or guest bed. Since the mattress was previously on the floor, this created a fantastic amount of storage space! I chose the 18 inch tall frame, which is high enough to store even sizeable boxes underneath. I also added an LED light strip to the underside of the frame with stick-on clips for a neat lighting feature. The frame is solid and strong, but not excessively heavy to assemble on my own. The instructions were sufficient and all parts and basic tools were included. The fact that it tends to fold in the middle even after full assembly made getting it in place by myself challenging; it would be easier with two people to handle it. The final bedframe in place with mattress atop it wobbles slightly when I climb on (200 lb adult) but not badly or such that it's noticeable except when climbing on or off the bed. My cat does not approve, but I'm sure she'll like it once she gets used to it.
Received it for a Christmas gift for my teenager.. pieces came in broken. Rigged it to make it work, plugged in the power outlet and it started smoking. Called to get replacement parts for the broken and non working item or a refund and they told me that neither was available and if I wanted a refund I would have to return the bed… it took me 4 hours to put it together, I’m not waiting another 4 hours just to take it apart. Terrible customer service.
This came very quickly. There was some damage to the shipping box, which unfortunately affected the contents. (see photos) The damage was not enough to warrant a return however, because we were on a time crunch to get the base done before the mattress was delivered. This took me about 2.5 to 3 hours to complete by myself. Someone else could probably do it faster, but I went through the manual meticulously to make sure all the pieces were there and everything was oriented the correct way. There were also 2 bolt holes not drilled in the correct piece. (see photos) Annoying for sure (as I ended up putting the drill bit through my thumb nail. Oooowww...) but again, not a return-worthy thing. Once it was done, it lifts very easily with no mattress and decently easily with a mattress for a fit person (we have a queen medium Tempurpedic). Although I would not think a child or an elderly person would be able to lift it. Once up, it stays up unassisted. Some have said the hydraulics fail after some time, so we'll see. I don't anticipate opening this very often as it will be used to store extra bedding and winter clothes. Overall I feel this was a good deal despite the cosmetic and installation setbacks. The storage is phenomenal, as we are in a park model home and need every square inch we can get.
Could be better could be worse. The wood paper was peeling on all the dark pieces. The tee pee parts were not damaged. Our full mattress barely fit in the full frame. We did have to buy slats separately for the sake of the mattress not sitting directly on the ground. So you are basically paying $180 for 9 fake/damaged boards and some screws. It is cute and my 3 year old is pleased, but it’s good we won’t need a floor bed for long, bc I doubt it lasts. I installed the top board flat bc the hinge that holds it doesn’t have a bottom stop. He did enjoy playing with a king size sheet over the board like a tent. It’s cute. It’s probably more suitable to a $90 price tag, but it will do for now.
The center part would not unfold, and several bolt holes were missing. Another hole was missing threads so I skipped that bolt. I had to drill my own and got the frame up, but it is wobbly with the hacks. Hopefully this is a one-off mixup. I tried emailing the company but did not hear back. Other than the manufacturing defects it is a good bedframe.
The lighting strips are uneven and we tried our best to remove the strip to move it up and out so it is even but it is tightly stuck and inside and so it ends up looking really bad and broken / incomplete.
LOVE. This bed! It took less than an hour to set up bed, mattress, and bedding! The bed is very straight for are on putting together (easiest instructions I have read in a long time!!). It looks really good in our room and will pull the whole theme together once I am done with our room. I love the retro look and we put our mattress on it and it just looks amazing. (Still have a ways to go in the room but it looks great!) there is no squeaking when one of us gets out of bed, it is light but sturdy and does not move. We got a 14 in mattress and it fits perfectly in it. (Tried to get good pic but kiddo wouldn’t stay out of it, so blocked him out.) The bed goes really well with our metal end tables. Can’t wait to get room done and pull it all together. This is what I chose after looking at MANY beds. And it didn’t fail to deliver! After several night sleeping on it we agree it’s likely the best one we have bought (better than our sleep number we got rid of!)
My son and I built it he is 8. Very simple instructions just a lot of parts. Well worth the price looks very pretty and it's sturdy. Does not make noise or rattle lower so it's comfortable especially if you have little ones
Listen, I wasn’t expecting much for the price but all the great reviews and the photos told me it was going to be allright. I can tell you after purchasing several metal frames for my son, this is no different than the rest, obviously time will tell however the joint legs on the outside do not sit as tightly as they should to ensure sturdiness. I already foresee this joint as a fail point which is why we bought the warranty. I doubt this frame will last a year but time will tell. Will update otherwise later on. As far as sizing it’s perfect and easy to put together.
I just moved and started over in a new state and got my complete bed from bargainbeddingusa.com. I opted to get a 14 inch mattress in a box because of reading previous reviews that said it was low and that's the best decision I have ever made the bed has a feature that allows you to heighten or lower the headboard I chose the highest setting the bed was very well engineered and very sturdy I am 300 pounds and my husband is 210 and there is not squeeking or rattling. It matches my all black theme in my room and I am overall a very happy customer. The price was also very very good and shipping was free definitely a tremendous value for my money so far.
If you tried to buy this bed from a furniture store, you would pay a thousand or more! Took two people to put it together and only took a couple hours (with breaks). Instructions are vague in some parts, so try not to get frustrated. Take your time! The baskets move with ease and it is indeed sturdy! Great for my teenager…and our animals! We love the led lights and the connection to the app was super easy! Only one small scratch from shipping. I think a matched pen will cover it up.
In assembling this itel, it's a clever mix of angled metal with cylindrical feet screwing in to secure it together. The second foot i pulled out the screw wasn't secured and slid back into the cylinder. I pull out my socket extensions ready to make this work, in taking the plastic end off I found the majority of the interior to have rusted the entire length. Not only this, but the bolt is round and fits into a recess, there is no way to tighten this enough to secure the foot or angled frame. Married, toddlers, and malinois this bed is going to see traffic and I am now returning and paying extra before our Christmas guests arrive due to this being our shining hope. Spend the extra money,l and don't cheap like I did. Returning this to it's box is going to be a challenge.
