THE CONS: I would say the most difficult part about building this bed frame was attaching the main bottom frame to the head and footboard. It is completely my fault for doing it alone, I highly recommend two people to help, but it did take around 4 hours for me (a 23 y.o. 120lb. woman) to complete by myself. This is not necessarily a con, but it’s worth saying it wasn’t easy to build. Now… to the important part! THE PROS…the quality of the frame once everything is complete and the bed is in place is wonderful. - No squeaking when bouncing around. - Very gentle on hardwood floors. - No scratches or scuffs on any of the materials (all of the materials were sealed in plastic bags). IMPORTANT NOTE!! So it looks like (possibly based on previous reviews of the middle support leg buckling) the company added a new bracket as well as spring screws - whatever those are - and washers. There was a printed page included on top of the instruction manual packet, make sure to use this sheet for the specific step rather than what’s in the actual packet. Overall, highly recommend lmao Thanks for reading :)
As soon as we opened the box we noticed that the back of the headboard was cracked along all three points where the screws are. So was the footboard. The price of the bed isn’t bad if you’re looking for something to fill a space quickly but opening it and finding immediate damage is concerning.
Husband assembled it easily, seems sturdy with the 4 slats and box spring but was not white. Off white and we particularly looked for a white one.also had marks on the headboard.
So I’ve used this for about a week now before writing the review. I was worried but after a few nights It holds up! The height of the frame is nice for those without a lot of space, you’re easily about to use the height of the frame for more Storage space without the need for a cheap box spring, I will say for $140 it’s a great value for the money and it looks great in my room! The thing i was most worried about was the wooden slats they included, at first glance they seem sturdy but they definitely have some flex to them which was my main concern about the frame, but after a few nights of sleeping on them, I have no qualms about it, they hold me up and fixed my sagging mattress issue
Super cute, the most storage I've ever had under my bed and I love the height. It's fairly easy to put together, but definitely do it with a partner so you aren't balancing around. I like to lean against my wall while watching shows and every time, my mattress starts to slide away. There are little plastic stabilizers to prevent it and they keep it from completely falling off. But it still slides. 5/5 stars if you don't lean on anything.
I was a little tentative because there weren’t many reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised! Bought for my 12 year old son. The Full size was plenty big enough as he’s 63”s tall. I followed the step by step instructions, each piece was cleared labeled and was extremely well laid out. You will need to set aside about 2 hours to fully assemble but was not difficult. They give you the tools needed so no problems there. It is very sturdy and he absolutely loves it. And of course being 12 he loves everything RBG so the lighting was a must. The lights have many different colors and settings. The USB ports are also a nice touch and also includes a type C charging port for his IPhone. The bed frame arrived a day early which was also great. The frame is metal, the headboard is a padded material design, and the footboard is wood. He picked the black frame. There was not one blemish on the entire frame which I was also surprised at. Great quality and price.
Easy to assemble full size bed. Took less than 1 hour. You can add the lights wherever you want. I just put them in the headboard. My son picked this bed strictly because of the lights and charging station on top. The mattress does move on the slats way too easily just by sitting. so to fix this I put double sided tape on each slat and now the mattress stays firm in place. For the price you can’t beat it!
Nice design. Sturdy. Except the screws wouldn’t fit. Take nail polish remover, a qtip and clean off the excess paint inside the drilled hole. There’s nothing wrong with it if they don’t budge, it’s just paint stuck in the little wedges.
Update: its been about a month. The slats on the bottom bunk keep popping out. Only like twice did it happen to the top. Definitely not going to be a long term solution to our needs. Took me just under an hour assembling it by myself. I used a electric screwdriver with a bit the same size as the screw. Much faster that way. Instructions were very clear. I feel confident laying on it at over 200lb. The metal slats are very secure once in. And the quantity of them makes it so you don't feel them through the mattress. The bottom is a good height off the ground for an adult.
Cute bed for teen girl. Easy to assemble.
Purchased Antique White. Only took a few days for delivery. Arrived in two boxes. It took about a day for my husband and I to put together. There’s a lot of parts in the two boxes and nothing was damaged or missing. Very solid and sturdy bed. We love it.
One piece of the headboard arrived cracked. It was packed with Styrofoam so that complaint probably would go to Fedex which was shipped from California. I didn't receive the light that was supposed to go into the headboard. I received 2 additional pieces marked as (1&2) that isn't even the same finish as the frame set. I believe maybe it was supposed to go to a different frame maybe? Your not suppose to use a box spring but I did because I prefer my bed to sit high. I added rails to the bottom shelves to prevent my cats from knocking things off. I chose this frame for all the storage options both in the headboard and the underbed drawers. Overall I'm still satisfied for the price being under $300.
It's a mix review. I like the frame. Looks great and seems to be made well. I would give the frame a 5. The wood slats are aweful. They are maybe 3/8 of an inch and there is no way it's rated for the weight they mention. I'm 215 lbs, and if I sit on the ends, the slats push down far enough that they pop out. When I lay on the bed with my 5 year old, it feels like the slats are going to break. And the connection of the slats are a plastic piece, that barely holds. The wood slats are a 1. Adding a center bar running head to toe would solve this. Or heavier duty slat. Edit...day 2, one slat already broke.
I have never written a review on bargainbeddingusa.com but this bed has me so upset! After spending over an hour assembling it, I put my mattress and sat on it and it broke?? I don’t understand… this is horrible I need someone to contact me for refund!
Bed arrived on time, was easy to put together, and looks exactly like the picture. The color is more espresso than black, but that was actually an advantage to me. The LED lights are a little weird but you don’t have to add them. I love the little shelf, it is very handy for storing odds and ends. I was worried I would hit my head when I sit up in the morning, but that has not been an issue. My only complaint is that when I move, the bed does creak a little. Overall would recommend.
