I'm not a big fan of leaving negative reviews, but reviews often guide my purchases, so I'm leaving my honest review here. Quality is subpar at best. The pictures I have attached are fresh out of the box and taken pre-assembly, which I haven't yet begun. Quality control doesn't look to be at its best with this company, so I would suggest looking elsewhere. Everything is out of the boxes and the return process would be too much of a pain in the you-know-what, so I'm unfortunately just going to have to take the hit on this one and shop for a replacement.
I got this for my son. It fits a full bed and doesn't creak. The drawers have no stoppers or track so they will roll if you kick them (I will add a backstop later). The wood is fine for the price and not particle board. The wood is not stained or sealed(they did provide a piece of sand paper in case you find a rough spot). The directions are in Chinese and that's fine as there are only ten instructions. There will be a ton of hardware left over and my medium sized screws were not used. I would an impact driver, electric screw driver, or drill, if not you will be here all night. It is ok.
My kid loves the bed. It didn’t have a remote for the lights like instruction said but we did get the app to work for them. One of the drawer bottoms has a math problem written on it which was kind of funny.
I got this queen size bed frame for my elder daughter, and overall, it's a great purchase. The velvet upholstery with nail-head trim gives it a stylish and elegant look, making it a beautiful addition to my daughters bed room. The padded headboard is comfortable, especially when sitting up to read her books or watch TV. The frame itself is sturdy, with solid wooden sticks and the metal structure that feels stable and supportive. I like that it doesn't require a box spring, and the noise-free design works well. My younger one keep jumping on the bed and didn't see any squeezy noise so far. I’ve been using this brand for a while now and already own a few of their products like bar stools, a plant stand, and another bed frame. The quality has been consistently good across all of them. The only downside was the assembly, it took longer than expected for one pair of hands, and some parts were a bit tricky to fit together. But once assembled, it's been great. If you’re looking for a stylish and comfortable bed frame with solid support, this is definitely a good choice.
Sturdy frame and super easy to assembly. I love the look and the mattress fits perfectly. No sliding from mattress and the height is perfect. No box spring needed but do recommend a 12” mattress.
The organisation and the neatness of the packaging had me impressed. This bed was easy to assemble. The instructions were not all clear for two things. How to screw in the side slots to the head board from the back of the headboard and where to put the four black washers. I only saw one. I like the sturdiness of the middle support bar, overall the bed is alright. One of the plastic feet in the middle was so weak, I twisted it until it snapped. There isn't any room under the bed really for any storage. I find when they're making these low profile bed they should give options of the height of the bed from the floor like they give different colours. This bed is lovely. I'm please
After reading all the negative reviews for this canopy bed re: stickers hard to remove, squeaking and creaking and falling apart, it was not enough to determine me, I knew it would look beautiful in my space, so I still purchased this gorgeous canopy bed. I have always wanted a bed like this all my life. I'm 66 years old and put this frame together by myself. It was straight forward and uncomplicated, instructions and coding were very well explained and easy to follow. Stickers are not hard to remove at all, there is no residue left, you just need a bit of patience, good nails and they come off easily as a whole. Just remove them before construction, for obvious reasons. All in all, I love this bedframe and it completed the whole look of my bedroom makeover. Thank you Novogratz.
The assembly is easy and straightforward; the manual book has clear instructions. The bed frame is very solid. The screws are designed to connect very tight. Fits queen mattress well. I like the height, not too tall.
I assembled it by myself. It took me about 2.5 hours to assemble it. The instructions are imprecise. Step 5 is for pieces k, b, and bars labeled 7. The directions don’t tell you this. I used the process of elimination to figure it out. Lol. I ended up measuring my mattress because the flanges k are curved and the instructions do not indicate which direction they should face when attaching them to the frame. While measuring I determined that my mattress is wider than the distance between the brackets if I chose to install them curving inward and that there is a heavy steel wire support that runs around the inside of the bottom edge of the mattress. If I installed them facing inward the edges of the mattress would rip or tear over time; so I decided to reverse them so they curved outward. The washers are not flat as the directions indicate; they are curved. I chose to have them curve around the frame, but if they loosen I will probably reverse them. The dimples or screw holes they cover are very deep and curved in the opposite direction from the frame, so the washers could also be reversed to face the other direction. A couple of the screws had thread issues. I had to run them in and out of the bolt pieces for the headboard a few times to get them to work properly. I also cut the foam tape to fit around the screws in the center of the frame so if I ever need to remove them it will be easy to do so. I drove to Home Depot and purchased a length of pipe insulation for 1” pipe. I cut it to 12.5” and used it to cover the legs in the center of the sides of the bed frame so I won’t stub my toes again. I stubbed them twice assembling it. It was only about $3.00 for the piece of pipe insulation. (I added pictures to show how it looks now. They uploaded in the wrong order.) I also ordered a rug gripper on bargainbeddingusa.com to put under the mattress so it doesn’t slide around. I selected the 4’ x 6’ size so it doesn’t show around the edges of the mattress. I plan to wrap the edges of it around the slats and adhere it to itself with clear packing tape. I don’t want tape glue stuck to the frame. Lol I ordered the silver gray color. I was really hoping it would be silver paint with grey spatter. But it’s not silver at all. It’s dark grey almost black with light grey splatter. I’m disappointed in the color, but I don’t plan to return it. I am so tired of the fake bronze/brown color and black. Black is such a boring color. The white doesn’t look pretty to me too. It looks like it’s just a flat color in the pictures like the black paint. So this was really the only option. I would have been delighted to have found a blue or maybe a green verdigris color, but the colors are limited. I searched on bargainbeddingusa.com and the internet for several hours trying to find a different color. I was really hoping to find a brass, bronze, or chrome plated frame. Metal frames always have to be painted after a few years anyway so it would be nice if a bed frame started out prettier to begin with. Overall I am very happy with the purchase. The bed frame seems nice and sturdy. It was easy to put together even though it was time consuming. It hasn’t creaked or squeaked. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a bed frame. It’s quite a splurge for me with my tight budget.
This bargain metal platform bed frame offers a lot of value for the money, with some design features you don't usually see in an under-$200 bed frame; I think it will prove to have been a good purchase, but it's by no means perfect. THE POSITIVES The design: The "platform" sits below the "lip" of the frame. With most other cheap metal bed frames, your mattress is floating on top of the frame. With this bed, it's "nestled" a bit by the frame for more of a finished furniture look. You have a place to tuck in your sheets. The legs: They look a bit spindly in the photos but they are quite sturdy, and again they have a bit more design to them than most cheap metal bed legs. The support: The Queen size has 4 center legs along a center cross rail to provide structural support. I'm not worried about this sagging or creeking. And the legs are in a row, so you still have all the under bed space for storage. THE NEGATIVES The instructions: The instructions led me astray twice. A "this sides up" sticker on one bed rail was stuck on the rail FACING THE WRONG WAY. You can't make this up. And the picture for the center rail bolts led me to install them facing the wrong way -- I caught that before I had done them all. It says allow 30 minutes to build. You should leave a lot more time than that. The hardware: It shouldn't surprise you but the bolts aren't the greatest quality and the little wrench they provide is weak. Use your own ratchet to save yourself frustration, and work carefully or else you'll strip the bolt edges. The finish quality: My bed arrived with no scratches or dents, and the wood slats were all in perfect condition. But the screw holes and other edges can be rough. My daughter pretty quickly got a metal splinter from one of the rails. Be careful. The engineering: It seems sturdy, but this is not fine furniture. See photos. The edges are secure but don't meet perfectly. The wood slats have a bowed design that should really hold onto your mattress, but I'm also worried that they could tear into the protective bottom of the mattress cover.
My daughter has fell in love with this bed and must have it. It matches her night stand and dresser with the X on it and she’s on a farmhouse kit. 1st off is customer service. She started this couple minutes before I got home and reached out to customer service herself. She’s Dyslexia. They were absolutely amazing. Like top notch 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ was deserved there alone. They were so friend and so perfect. This momma truly appreciates a good customer service experience. 2nd off, putting the bed together. Once I was home it truly didn’t take us 9 minutes from start to finish to get the bed together. 3rd off, her previous bed from Wayfair had small slim slats wood slats that was definite cheap wood. No it didn’t have problem with our Mini Black Golden Doodle but if my 85lb black Lab jumped on that bed, those cheaply wood slats would break like they was nothing. With these medal slats, they’ve been no issues at all. Dogs has jumped repeatedly before I gave this excuse tonight. My oldest daughter had a bed from with metal slats and I will say they are truly best hands down. She’s had hers for 10-12 years and is still in perfect shape. Lastly, you truly are getting your money forth. So affordable and instructions were top notch that I’m honestly looking at other items they sell to purchase in the future. I personally could not recommend this company enough. ❤️ I don’t leave reviews enough but if it’s something our family loves 110% I certainly will to benefit that company.
Honestly pretty easy to put together solo, would have been easier if I had a second person to help me or more room. The two tools included were also literally all I needed to construct it. It's nice and sturdy and has put up to a whole week of heavy and rough usage by my kiddo, and I've sat with her on it more than a few times as well.
My granddaughter loves this bed. Took me 2 days to put together.
This bed frame was easy to set up, which was great since it was my first time assembling one. I’ve heard that some bed frames can be complicated, but this one was simple, thanks to the clear and helpful instructions. It also came with the right tool to screw everything in, making the process even smoother. The frame itself is of good quality, which I was initially a bit concerned about, but it turned out to be perfect and sturdy. Just be sure to tighten the screws at the end to eliminate any gaps. When choosing a frame, I specifically wanted one without a middle leg to avoid stubbing my toes—this design doesn’t have one, which I really appreciate. I also wanted a tall bed, but I overestimated the height with the box spring, so I’ll probably remove it to get the perfect height. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase!
My preteen loves it, and the trundle is perfect for guests. It was pretty easy to put together. I was able to do it by myself in about an hour or so.
