4/5 only because the reinforcement wood cracked (slightly) before I could get the screw halfway through. Overall I LOVE the bed. It’s cute and pretty simple to put together but can be time consuming if you’re doing it alone, if not then it goes fairly quickly. I also love how the headboard is adjustable for height!
I had a few bed frames in mind before I decided to pull the trigger with this one. It wasn’t my first choice, but I didn’t want to spend $500+ on a frame. It was important to me that the frame be white wood, have storage space underneath, and flat top space on the head board. I was nervous buying this bed frame without many reviews as there were only 2 when I purchased. I wasn’t excited to hear about the lengthy assembly process, but thankfully I had my husband to help. I’m 6 months pregnant and couldn’t be able to do this myself, no way. Just helping assemble the storage drawers was killing my back and had to stop. There were some frustrating parts in the instructions, but they were a LOT clearer than some instructions I’ve received with furniture on bargainbeddingusa.com. I will say they are specific so pay close attention to orientation of pieces and parts and be careful to keep all the screws separated so you don’t accidentally use a long screw somewhere it doesn’t belong and ruin the wood like we did on one of the storage drawers. You also definitely need a drill. This will take DAYS to put together without one. It took us from 11:45am-5:15pm to complete this with only one 30 min break to eat- so expect to spend your day off putting this monster together. Gauge how valuable your time is and decide if you’d rather spend more and have less assembly time. Otherwise it’s fine. The bed overall is sturdy, it doesn’t squeak or creak, no missing parts, the lights and outlet work, the drawers slide out easily on our carpet, and it just looks good for the price. One complaint I do have is the holes pre-drilled on the headboard sliding doors were not in the right place, so figuring out where EXACTLY the rails go was very stressful as I’ve assembled dressers from bargainbeddingusa.com with rails before and they constantly slide off the rails after assembly, so I wanted to be sure I was EXACT with this piece of furniture. Thankfully I was and they slide solidly. Another is that our mattress slides around easily and out the back of the headboard as it isn’t flush against the wall, so we’re going to have to come up with something to fix that. Hopefully this review helps someone decide on a frame! 4/5 stars is accurate.
When I got this mattress it didn’t come with a box spring so I ordered this. I assembled alone so I definitely suggest having another person with you. The instructions are fairly easy to understand and the tools are handy. There are extra pieces so don’t be alarmed if you have extras. PLEASE! Read the instructions a couple pages ahead. You’ll save yourself time unscrewing some screws lol Seems really sturdy but I would only suggest this bed frame for a temporary one or … if you’re single lol All around a good buy. Dog approved
At 1st I was scared to get this because I thought it would not be sturdy enough and I thought t would be difficult or take alot of time to mount but boy was I wrong. It is simple once you use the booklet and follow the letters. I love the velcro attachments for the wood pieces to the base and that you could also attach it to the mattress. Overall Great Buy. I will be getting some more. Love it!
This bed and the assembly instructions are excellent in some ways but a couple things were puzzling and frustrating. GOOD: All parts labeled and listed so its easy to make sure you have everything. Very clear and easy to follow instructions and illustrations. Easy job for 2 people, doable for 1 good DIYer or carpenter, but the lengthwise pieces are long and kinda hard to manage without a helper. Extra screws included plus the little ratchet tool is brilliant for tightening everything! Bed is sturdy (haven't actually slept on it but it felt very solid to sit and lie down on. NOT GOOD Fasteners include some "short" screws that are supposed to be used on 2 crossbars on the trundle, but they are too short! Why has no other review mentioned this? The screws were specifically labelled and referred to as short screws, so they didn't seem to be wrong even though they were! I was able to use the extra long screw and middle screw but that left me 2 short. I didn't want to wait for service/support so I made a trip to my local hardware store and was able to get what I needed but that was a big ding. Dimensions seemed to indicate that an 8 in. mattress would fit below, but just barely. My mattress is more like 8 1/2 in and it fit very tight. I may have to put the upper frame on risers. It's hard to lift the trundle. I hope with time and WD40 or something it will get easier. TIP: On the trundle, there's a section of cross pieces marked with white arrow stickers--make sure the arrows are on the same side and pointing in the same direction as shown in the picture.
Llego antes de tiempo lo cual fue muy bueno, la cama viene con las instrucciones muy específicas, mi esposo tardó aproximadamente 2 horas en armarla, algunos orificios no vienen abiertos así que es bueno tener un taladro a la mano para poderlos hacer. Espero sea una cama duradera pues para mi gusto la madera no es muy gruesa, la cuerina se ve de buena calidad.
This bed is absolutely awful. It was a complete waste of time ordering this and waiting for it. The headboard spindles aren’t straight, which leads me to believe that there is no quality control from the company before sending out their products. We spent about 4 hours trying to put the bed together because the screws and the frame holes didn’t line up. It striped and ruined all of the tools we had, both from the set up kit and from our own personal tool kit. When we finally got everything together, the gap between the mattress and the footboard is 4 inches. We expected a little bit of a gap, but this was huge. We don’t recommend this and will be returning it immediately.
Really nice bed. Love how the LED lights are protected by a silicone covering. I did it by myself and it took me about an hour to assemble. Only downfall is the very end, the poles that go across the bed required some improvising. But overall very pretty. Perfect for my daughter. This is a full size, and I have an 8 inch hybrid matress with it. My advice is to put all the pieces together in order before starting the assembly process. Instructions are pretty simple as long as you have organization.
I am very satisfied. I ordered the XL twin of this bed frame. It arrived promptly on the stated date. I had it assembled in under an hour, by myself, including putting the mattress and linens on, very easy assembly. I feel this was a fair value for the cost. Not all welds are pretty, but none are unsafe or unsightly. The powder coating is thin and I surface scratched it putting it together but not to bare metal. I am lying on it now and do not hear any squeaks or rattles and it feels very sturdy. If I find any issues or my guests report them I will update. By the way I am over 50, weigh over 150, and my hands are not as strong as they used to be and I still found assembly easy.
i got the 18 inch one in a Queen and it sits really high. Very sturdy compared to a lot of the ones I’ve gotten and was very easy to assemble. With me being plus size it’s very hard to find good sturdy beds that dosent rock and make noise and this one makes ZERO noise. One thing I’d say that’s a con is the mattress can easily move but I just bought some mattress grip thingys and it fixed the problem. I had me and my friends who are also plus size we all slept in the same bed together so that should tell u how much weight is on it for it to not make a noise. 10/10
After reading reviews about difficulty of re-packaging this for a return, we decided to carefully unbox it outside in full sunlight, preserving the packing materials intact as much as possible, to closely look it over before setting it up in our room. So far, it seems great! Slats are 3.5 inches apart, and seem to be of just standard, not heavy-weight strength, but are well-secured by velcro. The wood joinery for the frame feels solid and goes together smoothly. A few screws strengthen the structure. The color is called pecan but is more like a dark mahogany. I kinda wish I’d gotten tbe lighter color now, but we can live with it. The wood finish is pretty, but delicate - it did have some minor scratching on it just from the scissors I used to cut the many packaging materials off. It is very cleverly packed, with no inch if space wasted - glad we love it b/c it would be a b****to repack! I really wanted a Thuma, but just could not afford it. This is a more than satisfactory substitute at a quarter the price!
Only complaint is the black plastic pieces which keep the horizontal metal in places can break off easily when taking apart or assembling. This is not an issue if you don't plan to take it apart. I justoved this recently and lost one. It seems fine without it, but you wouldn't wanna lose to many.
Easy to put together and instructions are easy to follow. its been about a months and I don’t have any issues with it so far.
Very easy to assemble & lightweight! Just be mindful when you go to scoot it across the floor with any weight, it’ll jam or break. Better just to pick up frame itself and remove everything off of it.
I don't know what kind of metal it is, but I can be sure that it is very strong, and it is very quiet and reassuring to sleep on. The metal feet have a layer of protective film to effectively protect the floor. It saves space, takes up the same space as a mattress, and at the same time, the space under the bed can be well utilized. The installation is simple and convenient, and there is no need to prepare any tools. There are self-contained tools in the package.
