This was a great find. We replaced the slacks for thicker ones because I felt I might break it if I laid in bed with my daughter. But my husband painted it and put it together. He was so proud it got him on a wood working kick.
It is solid frame. Our head board needed different longer screws. We couldn’t use all holes in frame to secure a tight fit for headboard. It is a guest room so it works. Mattress has movement on frame. I will not order for main bedroom because I would have to adjust mattress. It has good quality material.
The assembly took about 1 hour, we took our time and made sure everything was assembled right and wow this bed is great! We absolutely love it, the soft suede like material they use feels good and the bed is quite sturdy. The only gripe I had was it was missing one Type C Screw, we needed 12 however only 11 came in the package, but luckily we had some extra ones laying around that were the same size, other than that, It’s a great bed.
These beds were a Christmas gift to my daughters and they love them! Easy to assemble, comfortable, sturdy and beautiful. Best bed I could’ve gotten. Very happy with this purchase
All in all we are pleased with our purchase, but there are some cons. Pros: 1. Sturdy (lots of slats and balanced) 2. Price 3. Pretty 4. Height Cons: 1. No opening for entrance to top bunk 2. Uncomfortable on feet to climb 3. Lack of side guards for bottom mattress 4. Shipping cost I will start with the cons. The lack of opening at the top of the ladder was a concern, and my daughter has complained about this, but likes the bunk bed otherwise. I have climbed up to the top bunk a couple times and have found the ladder uncomfortable/painful just as I expected, but my daughter says “It’s not that bad.” The third issue, oddly enough, is part of the reason we selected this bunk bed. We wanted our oldest to be able to sleep on the bottom bunk when she outgrows the top, which means we couldn’t have tall head/foot boards. Many bunk beds have these, especially the wood ones. Unfortunately there are no side guards (on the bottom) and our mattress slides a bit. This could be fixed, or at least helped, with a mattress that has a no-slip bottom. [The mattress we purchased for the top bunk through bargainbeddingusa.com (and rated highly) does have a no-slip bottom. We purchased the 6 inch, but I would get the 8 inch for the bottom.] Lastly, the shipping cost is quite high, but this is common for any bunk bed not shipped by bargainbeddingusa.com Prime. As for the pros… There were many metal slats, which are a snug fit. My husband hit most in place, and I used my upper body weight for the rest. In both cases, it took effort to get them in, so we’re confident they won’t move. The bunk bed also moves very little while being climbed and does not creak or squeak. We are pretty confident in its strength and stability. The price was definitely one of the determining factors for this bunk bed. We purchased this while on sale, and with its mostly high ratings and appearing safe, we decided this one was best. While I prefer the wooden bunk beds, the faux wood decoration was the compromise with my husband - who prefers metal. The girls both liked the look of this bunk bed too. Finally, we needed to consider its size. The girls’ room is 8 feet high and our oldest is tall for her age, so we needed a shorter bunk bed, but didn’t want the bottom bed to be touching the ground. This bunk bed is perfect for us. My daughter and I have both bumped our heads a couple times, she on the ceiling and me on the underside of the top bunk, but this is just due to forgetfulness as we adjust to the change. My daughters can sit up in their beds with a foot or more of space above them…they just can’t (and should not) stand. I hope this review was helpful! ~ MG2
Great value, easy to assemble, sturdy and a perfect fit to replace the broken wooden support to my current frame
I love this so much we use this daily in our small home. Today was a lazy weekend day so we just left the bed part out and today as you see from the video one side of the legs snapped while someone sitting on it. My dog almost was crushed since we didnt know he was under the bed. I have had this less then a year. I really just need replacement legs if possible as it was not able to be fixed. I will pay whatever amount since this is our daily use bed. *****update***** The company has still not contacted me back after a month of waiting and having this only 6 months we had to improvise and buy 4 jack stands in order to use the bed at night. Spend an extra $65 on Jack stands you will eventually need them.
it was nice at first and worked great but after a month of having it, it’s already broken! the support beams that hold up the bed keep falling down, leading my bed to fall on the floor. this is very upsetting because i really did like the look of it but unfortunately it’s cheap and doesn’t last long.
Sturdy, easy to assemble (2 people preferred), and super cute. The directions were PERFECTLY CLEAR:) but it right now. It’s perfect for small living when u need extra storage space.
Easy enough to assemble and has the overall look. Disappointed in how banged up it is though.
Love the style and was so easy to put together. We had already disassembled our existing bed to accommodate this one, so when I saw dents in every headboard panel and the foot board corner damaged as well I had no choice but to finish putting it together. Wish I had inspected all of it beforehand as it would go back in a heartbeat. Now we are stuck with it I guess. Next time I will know better and will look elsewhere
Very good quality!
Put this bed together myself, and it was a very frustrating experience for two reasons. The first being that all the pieces come labeled with stickers so you can identify them. The first issue here is the packaging. They threw all the pieces into a box, and all the pieces bounced around and scraped each other. Most of the pieces I received had the identifying sticker labels completely messed up (pictured). So there was no real way to tell which piece was which. The other headache is the directions. Steps 1-5 they label all the pieces alphabetically and numerically. Starting with step 6 they just stop doing that. So for 6&7 the pieces are lettered but not numbered. As if I wasn't already having enough of a hard time trying to figure out what piece goes where without the stickers. So the packaging, instructions, and stickers could all use some work or improvement. Once built it feels somewhat sturdy, it's not amazing quality, but you get what you pay for. I will say I've stubbed my toes on this bed in the dark a million times already. I think I would have been better off just going and getting something better quality in person.
This frame was easy to assemble. I painted the headboard and added caning to the back for the look I really wanted in my bedroom. I've been sleeping on it for a week now and it does the job. I love how much more storage I can fit underneath. The added height is a real game changer
I haven’t had any problems at all!! I had a friend put it together and looked pretty easy! Beautiful color (I got white) I love the velvet texture and perfect if you’re a neutral girlie🥰. I love the size and height (I got full size) it is perfect for one person and super sturdy as far as I know :) I’ve had it for 6 months, so I might come back and update once I’ve had it longer.
