My daughter is two and this is her first “big girl” bed. I chose it because of the railing that goes around it so she wouldn’t fall and thought it would be a great transitional bed. I was not wrong! It works perfectly for her and she has transitioned very well. It’s the perfect height for her to get up and down from. It took about 2-3 hours to put together and was not hard at all. Instructions are subpar but one of the better instructions I have received from bargainbeddingusa.com. I will say, the stickers are quite a PAIN to remove.

I was pretty impressed with this bed… I wasn’t expecting it to feel so sturdy compared to all the garbage you get now-a-days. If you’re able to, air out the parts for a couple days before assembling. It gave very strong wood cabin smells but calmed down after a couple days. Not a chemically smell… just a wood smell.
8 inches is the maximum height for the trundle bed, which is what I have pictured. I leave 2 inches under so nothing falls under the bed when one of my kids are sleeping.
