Two things first: these are for regular twin mattresses, the bottom fits a max 8″ thick mattress. The biggest disappointment that no other reviews (from other sites) mentioned was that there is still a 2-3″ gap between mattresses when turned into a king. You’ll need to buy a topper or a gap filler which IMHO is an annoying extra expense.
Besides those two points, everything else is great. It feels sturdy, the pop up design is just what we needed for frequent in-law visits and I anticipate using it as two separate twins when the kids’ friends visit in the future.
Pricy up front, but I’m thinking it’s a solid long term investment and is a welcome solution to the two level trundle bed options that are so common.

Follow the directions precisely and this daybed goes together perfectly. Factory screw holes and bolts are meticulously prepared and each part is numbered. Do not tighten down each bolt as it’s placed until a whole section is assembled and then tighten the screws and bolts. Attaching the back rail to the side rails needs patience and 2 people and again do not tighten bolts until the parts are together. 8”mattress is the maximum size for trundle. Bedding in this picture includes two 8” foam mattresses, waterproof sheets, cotton mattress pad, stretch microfiber blue sheet for coverup. I like the wood to show so a typical daybed cover doesn’t look so nice. Very sturdy, comfortable bed.

Works great as a couch, but is ready for napping and a bed for visitors. Took time to assemble, but it was not difficult. An 8 inch mattress is the thickest that will fit in the trundle and still roll beneath the daybed. I used two 8in mattresses and each has a mattress cover to avoid spill damage. Very comfortable and looks good. I would definitely recommend this set. It is also convenient to hang blankets from the rungs.

The bed was very easy to assemble and initially we were very happy with the product, however our 8 year old nephew (70lbs) plopped down on the front edge of the bed rail, missing the mattress and the rail splintered at a finger joint in the frame. In our opinion the front and back main support rails should have been constructed from a single solid piece of wood, not a piece with 2 finger joints present within a 6′ span. The finger joints create weak points for supporting and downward force.
Additionally, we bought this over a month ago and it is still off gassing a chemical odor. We live in FL, so thankfully we have been able to crack two windows in the room and run a fan to air out. However we are concerned that even with these efforts there is still a noticable chemical odor in the room.

Shipping was fast and the daybed looks great after putting it together, however, we did not receive the pop up trundle that makes this a twin to king as advertised.
Edit: the trundle was shipped separately and arrived it a few days later.

Product shipped in two huge heavy boxes but assembly was a breeze (not two people required!). It looks beautiful in the space and we found the trundle fits really nicely underneath the daybed and doesn’t stick out. We got 8in mattresses, but will plan on an extra foam support to fill the gap and for comfort for when we use it for guests.
