This furniture is poor quality. Mostly pine, but the headboard is flimsy thin particle board. As hard as I tried I could not get the pieces to fit snugly. One of the barrel bolts was defective, causing me to have to secure the footboard with an angle iron . I feel like I have been had. Not sure how I could return this, Though I certainly would like to. Just a big mistake on my part thinking I could save money buying online sight unseen. I guess we’ll use this garbage until I can save enough to buy locally.
