My delivered package was pretty beat up, but there was no damage to the item. Once it was assembled I noticed that the bracket on the central leg had some play in it that could not be adjusted by tightening the bolt. When I laid in the wood slate, I started at each end, and a gap was left in the middle. I had to start them away from the end of the frame, which was counter intuitive (this was not in the instructions)
I put the mattress on and it seems ok – will update if either of these things causes a failures later.

My 13 year old had this bed assembld in 20 mins. The frame is sturdy but the wooden slats are not. I’ve had to place plywood on top to keep the middle slats from sagging so much they pop off the inside ledge that holds them up. The wood is too cheap and the slats a hair too short. The plywood is working so far but those cross members sure groan under the weight. I weigh 175 lbs
